Bichectomie

Buccal fat removal surgery is the removal of fat from the buccal fat pad, a mass of tissue located deep within the cheek. By performing this surgery our surgeons can highlight the bone structure in your face, especially your cheekbones and the hollowed-out areas between your cheeks and jawline.

The procedure is typically conducted under local anesthesia. A surgeon will create small incisions on either side of the inside of the patient's mouth to expose the buccal fat pad, and then remove some or all of the fat. In Clinichub, your surgeon will explain how to take care of your incisions. Usually, a special mouth rinse is advised to help with the healing and preventing infections.
