Things To Do Before Your Surgery Day
Before coming to your surgery, we kindly request
Remove fake nails, nail polish, fake eyelashes,
fake hair, any jewellers and any piercing.
Cut your nails. (This is to avoid infection)
If you wish to keep your piercings, please
replace them with plastic retainers before your surgery day.
Taking multivitamins is not necessarily needed.
We recommend you maintain a healthy diet instead of taking external pills such
as multivitamin pills, effervescent tablets of minerals and vitamins. These
aforementioned supplements are salt based and can cause your post-op swelling
to last more than 2-3 days.
You should eat a salt-free diet prior 2-3 days to
your surgery and after 2-3 days of your surgery to help minimize oedema.
You should not smoke prior one week and after one
week of the surgery.
You should not consume alcohol prior one week and
after one week of the surgery.
You should not take any blood thinning
medications prior 2 days to your surgery and on your surgery day.
The surgery day overlapping with your menstrual
cycle is fine and you can still be operated.
