Before plastic surgery and after

Preparation for the surgery is also as significant as the aftercare process of the surgery. To provide for you the best plastic surgery in Istanbul, we are here to assist you before, during and after your visit to Clinichub.

  • Before coming to Turkey

    What you should bring to the surgery?

    ·   Bring a universal adaptor for your electronics chargers as the plugs have two pinholes here unlike the UK which has three pinholes.

    ·     Pack your luggage as if you are coming over for a cosy holiday.

    ·   Bring comfortable clothing with you, a  dressing the gown will make you feel comfortable as it is easily wearable and comfy.

    ·    Make sure to pack comfortable shoes, such as trainers.

    What do we provide?

    ·     We provide you with body surrounding garments based on your operation.

    ·   Faja is provided for operations based on liposuction with or without fat injection, Medical Bra is provided for every breast surgery, Patches for Chin liposuction, and other bodies part surrounding garments for Arm Lift, Thigh Lift are provided as well.)

    ·    We provide you with stocking socks, which you are requested to wear during your hospital stay and, on your flight, back to home.

    ·     If you wish to buy an extra pair of any garment, it can be requested from the company to provide one for you after your surgery, and you can purchase it here. As your size is subject to change, it will not be a precise and healthy decision to decide which size you need your surgery garment to be before coming over here.

    ·    You will be prescribed and provided with painkillers belonging to the drug class of NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). In cases where the patient needs stronger painkillers, they can request it based on the pain they experience after the surgery. As one can appreciate, giving the strongest painkillers as a first instance is not our first option and priority.

    ·   You will be prescribed and provided with antibiotics for prophylactic purposes to avoid any infection that may happen due to open cuts or wounds.

    Your Arrival

    ·    You are kindly requested to book your ticket to Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW).

    ·      Our transfer team will be waiting for you with the cardboard 3E at the non-custom exit area of the airport.

    ·   After you are picked up, you will be transferred to the stay choice your purchased accommodation (either Hotel or Recovery House) for a nice rest before your surgery day.

    You are requested to pay your outstanding balance before we can provide any medical service (Your surgery pack price excluding your deposit).

    2-3 Days Before the Surgery

    ·    Taking multivitamins is not necessarily needed. We recommend you maintain a healthy diet instead of taking external pills such as multivitamin pills, effervescent tablets of minerals and vitamins. These aforementioned supplements are salt based and can cause your post-op swelling to last more than 2-3 days.

    ·      You should eat a salt-free diet prior 2-3 days to your surgery and after 2-3 days of your surgery to help minimize oedema.

    ·       You should not smoke prior one week and after one week of the surgery.

    ·    You should not consume alcohol prior one week and after one week of the surgery.

    ·      You should not take any blood thinning medications prior 2 days to your surgery and on your surgery day.

    24 Hours Before the Surgery

    ·   You should not eat or drink anything after midnight of the day before your surgery.

    ·   Remove fake nails, nail polish, fake eyelashes, fake hair, any jewellers and any piercing.

    ·       Cut your nails. (This is to avoid infection)

    ·   If you wish to keep your piercings, please replace them with plastic retainers before your surgery

    ·       The surgery day overlapping with your menstrual cycle is fine and you can still be operated.

    On the Surgery Day

    ·       You will be transferred from your accommodation choice (either Recovery House or Hotel) to the hospital at the day of your surgery in the morning or the nights before at around midnight point.

    ·   The next step that follows is blood tests and check-ups. Your pre-operation consultation by your surgeon will happen right before your operation, and it is the time you go over the details of your surgery with the surgeon. The surgeon will mark you up accordingly and the consultation will end after both sides agree on the procedure to be done and everything is crystal clear.

    ·       Please make sure to discuss all the points and marks in details with your surgeon during your consultation to avoid any misunderstanding afterwards. Besides, make sure you read the consent form before you sign it.

    After Your Surgery

    The vast majority of surgery requires only a night stay in the hospital. Larger operations, however, will require a 2 night hospital stay.

    A postoperative visit with pur surgeon and one of our specialist nurses will be scheduled prior to your departure home. During this visit, all postoperative details will be discussed and scheduled. All postoperative recovery tapes and dressings will also be provided to you.

    ·     You are requested not to swim and not to have a bath for 1 month after your surgery.

    ·      The temperature of water for showering purposes should not be too hot as it can possibly cause infections. The water is suggested to be mild in terms of temperature.

    ·       You should use your surgery garments for as long as you are recommended so, for the best results.

    ·       No heavy sports, heavy lifting or running for 2 weeks of time after your surgery. On the other hand, you are also requested not to be completely inactive and immobilized after your surgery.

    ·    It is recommended for you to have short walks regularly to help with the blood circulation and to keep the metabolic rate high.
